where in the Devonthink Settings I can take off of the VPN usage? please help
Been a while since I looked into that sort of network settings, but isn’t that a feature of your VPN software (if it is available)?
What exactly is your question? DT isn’t doing anything with or to or about VPN.

Some VPNs, Mullvad being one of them, claim to allow per app split tunnelling outside of the VPN

For MacOS you have to use a different client than the Mullvad app and even then not all applications work with that set up.
There’s nothing in DevonThink that has anything to do with split tunnelling though, it’s all settings in your VPN.
Or perhaps you meant something else with your question?
