DEVONthink 3.9 release notes doesn't work

I was excited to install the DEVONthink 3.9 upgrade tonight and wanted to go through the release notes in detail. Unfortunately, when I choose that option from the Help menu, I get a window that tells me the content can’t be displayed at this time. Can y’all maybe fix that? Or point me at some notes on the web or something? Thanks!

3.9    Help > Release Notes working well here.

Perhaps a firewall issue or a (possibly temporary ?) network issue ?

That works for me here via Menu: Help → Release Notes.

In any event, you can see the release notes in the outstanding “DEVONthink Manual”, page 252 of 3.9 version, or in Menu: Help → DEVONthink 3 Help → Documentation → Read Me → Version History. Help contents same as the Manual (available on DEVONtechnologies’ web site).

Edit: Just remembered, in the left panel in DEVONthink (there is an official name for that but I forget), click on the three dots (…) and look in the “Releases” section.

Sometimes, the macOS help demon process doesn’t pick up updated help packages. Either a system restart helps or you can terminate the help demon manually by opening a Terminal window and typing the following:

killall helpd

This quits the help demon and macOS relaunches it.

That did it. Thanks!

You’re welcome!
