DevonThink as plug-ins?

Glad it works for you. But DT doesn't understand enough of the file types I use to be useful. I've given it a go, and its nice for PDFs & web, but that isn't sufficient. I need all sorts of file types. Its classification is too far removed from the file system to be helpful. I think talking about a product to be released in 2 months is within the "now" time frame for anyone thinking about moving to devonthink.

shrug To each their own. Whether “two months” is comparable to “now” depends on what you need to do and when you need to do it. I hope Leopard gives you the tools you need.

Having now had a chance to use Leopard, I believe that DEVONthink doesn’t have anything to worry about from the Finder.

(Although I have to admit that I had a fantasy of Apple purchasing DEVONthink and turning it into the Finder with a “Session” capability that would more-or-less mimic the ability to have different databases… multiple database file systems on a single filesystem, in other words)
