Today I updated to DEVONthink 3.8.6. After updating DEVONthink freezes, when I try to import Mails from Apple Mail.
That is not a crash. It’s an application stall.
Do a Spotlight search for Activity Monitor. Select our application in the list of processes - it should show “(Not Responding)” and the name in red - and press Command-Option-S to run a sample on it. When the sample window opens, press the Save button and save it to your Desktop.
Hold the Option key and choose Help > Report bug to start a support ticket. Please attach the process sample to your Support Ticket so we can inspect it. Thanks!

I found the Problem. The Plug-In for Apple Mail was not activated (I didn’t deactivate it).

No problem. However, you shouldn’t have two of our Mail plugin installed.
DEVONthink.mailbundle was used on older macOS releases, it’s obsolete since Big Sur.
Deleted the old plugin.
