DEVONthink Pro Office & ScanSnap: which OCR should I use?

Hmmmmmmmmm –
so when I use DEVONthink Pro Office together with a ScanSnap scanner, OCR is actually performed twice, once by the ScanSnap Software and once by DEVONthink. AFAIK, it’s even the same (ABBYY) scan engine in both cases.

That doesn’t seem to make too much sense to me. Is there any mysterious advantage in performing OCR twice, and if it isn’t, which one should I use?

I would uncheck the option to OCR in ScanSnap Manager.

Then the OCR routine in DEVONthink Pro Office will do the OCR.
