Devonthink sorter not showing

I am using DT pro 2.9.7 on a mac running 10.12.1 and I can’t get the sorter to show up. I have tried using preferences in the sorter tab to “Show” the sorter but nothing appears.

Is there a solution to get this working?

Hi there,

I’m facing the same problem.

macOS Sierra 10.12.2 (16C67)
DEVONthink Pro Office 2.9.8

Sorter does not appear anymore.

  1. In DEVONthink, select Tools > Hide Sorter.
  2. Quit DEVONthink.
  3. In the Finder, press Command-Shift-G and paste: ~/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink Sorter/Default.sorter . Move this file to your Desktop.
  4. Launch DEVONthink and select Tools > Show Sorter.

If this does not work then follow the same steps outlined above but do this for item 3…

  1. Open Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app and paste: defaults delete com.devon-technologies.think-sorter . Press Return.
  2. Then type: exit , press Return, and quit Terminal.

Here you go…needed the terminal, but now it’s working.
