I own a DEVONthink Pro 4 license (valid through 2029, eligible for updates). On both my iPad and iPhone, DEVONthink To Go 4 reports that my license expires in a few days.
I am signed in to DEVONthink To Go with my DEVONtechnologies customer account, and the app is up to date via the App Store. However, on my license page all five iOS seats are still shown as free, so it seems the registration is not taking effect on either device.
I have already tried signing out and back in and restarting the app, without success.
Could you please check what is going wrong and, if needed, assign the seats manually?
Maybe your iPad and iPhone still use an App Store subscription instead of the license? Signing in is not equal to attaching to the license. If in Settings > License it says something about a legacy license, then that is from a previous, still existing, and maybe cancelled DEVONthink To Go 3 subscription in the App Store. You can let it expire and then connect your mobile apps to your Pro license.
Yes, it says “Lizenz: Legacy Yearly”. But as I have already connected it to my Pro license (see attachment): How do I re-connect the app?
If it says “License: Legacy Yearly”, it is not connected to your Pro license but to the App Store subscription. When you tap it, it should tell you how long before it expires.
You have connected your user account but that does not automatically grab the next available Pro license in your account and automatically connects to it. That is a second, intentional step.
Attached is my App Store info. How do I proceed with your “second, intentional step”? Log off/Log on? Or deinstall DTTG first and reinstall?
Wait for the subscription to expire. Then go to Settings > License, tap License, and select your Mac license. Done.
