Disappearing Rich Text

After setting up a number of date-file templates (for journals, news, etc.) comprising a set of RTF documents, waiting for entries, I experienced a File error that required rebuilding the database.

Devon automatically rebuilt the database excellently.

However, all those painstakingly created RTF documents have become text documents.  Is there any way I can select a set of text documents and convert them to RTF?

The only way to convert them currently is to display each document, chosse "Make Rich Text" and save the document.
