I’ve been exploring DTPro for a short while and find much that appeals to me so I will jump in a bit further and post my first question:
Is it possible to create a link from a selection within one document directly to a selection within another document (rather than just to the document)?

No, not currently. You can only link to a document or record.
If I want to link to a section of a long PDF document, as a workaround I’ll select/copy to clipboard that section (or chapter or paragraph) and save it as a new rich text note. I can then link to that document (and of course link the excerpt to the original document, so that I can track back to the source).

The workaround you describe is pretty much what I have settled on for the moment.
