download manager to skip directory prefix

When using the DT web browser to select documents for download (selected via links on corporate web pages), the download process will be handled by the DT download manager of course.
One thing that puzzles me is that files I want to have downloaded into the Downloads Folder (~/Downloads) get buried in the folder structure exactly as it exists on the origin web server (e.g. www.website.com/mktg/products/foo/blah/files/file.ppt) . As there are many web sites with extensive structure on each of them, this ends up in a mess on my local file system. All I want is to have the file itself put into ~/Downloads. I tried several combinations of settings in Download-Manager with no success. Any way to achieve this?

That’s not possible as this is necessary to download complete websites. One workaround is to download to a database, e.g. the global inbox.
