download manager to skip directory prefix

One thing that puzzles me is that files I want to have downloaded into the Downloads Folder (~/Downloads) get buried in the folder structure exactly as it exists on the origin web server (e.g. . As there are many web sites with extensive structure on each of them, this ends up in a mess on my local file system. All I want is to have the file itself put into ~/Downloads. I tried several combinations of settings in Download-Manager with no success. Any way to achieve this?

That’s not possible as this is necessary to download complete websites. One workaround is to download to a database, e.g. the global inbox.
