Downloading directly to the Inbox

Hi there,

I’m often having trouble when downloading a file directly to the Inbox while DT3 is running. Actually I quickly get from the browser the error message “download failed”.

Am I doing something wrong or would it be better to download to the Downloads folder and then move the file manually to the Inbox?

The inbox folder is only recommended for saving documents or other fast operations but not for slow operations like scanning or downloading. Indexing the Downloads folder might be the easiest solution, at least that’s what I do. Afterwards you could move desired downloads into the database.
