True.

But I always drag & drop into the floating Groups panel, which can always be available from a minimized state in the Dock, and which gives total choice of the group/subgroup into which the item(s) will be sent.

This preference applies currently only to taking notes whereas dragging a document to the Dock icon is like File > Import. But if a main window (or the groups panel) is visible, it’s easy to drag & drop to the right destination.

Can I file a feature request to alter this preference then?

And I’ve already requested DragThing-like improvements to the Groups palette…
