When I drag (move) a folder (group) to a new database via the Groups & Tags sidebar, why does the folder end up in the InBox in the new database? I’d like it to land there as a TLI (top level item).
That’s the intended behavior when one drags something onto a database in the Sidebar.
If you wish to move the time to a location other than the Inbox of another open database, select it, Control-click and choose the contextual menu option, ‘Move To’; or choose Tools > Show Groups & Tags (there’s a keyboard shortcut) and Command-drag the item to any location in any open database.
Tip: To Command-drag an item, select it and start dragging, then hold down the Command key for the rest of the ‘trip’.
