I use an application called Path Finder, which can basically replace Apple’s Finder. (There are “tricks” to fool the OS into thinking that PF is the Finder.)
I noticed that when I drag a directory into a DT window to import the contents, the Finder launches. It’s not a horrible thing nor do I expect Devon-technologies to build in support for every app.
Having noted that, I was wondering if DT needs the actual Finder for certain functionality, or if perhaps it’s linked to Applescript etc. I ask to see if it’s possible to “trick” DT into working with a Finder alternative such as Path Finder.
