DT hangs on splash screen

I cannot open my DT databases anymore: I upgraded to version 2 (on latests snow leopard) , it consolidated/transformed my DBs on the first run; one of these was saved on a secure disk image…

now launching DT gets me a :

‘Database ‘Inbox.dtBase2’ seems to be already in use!
The database you are trying to open seems to be either in use by another instance of DEVONthink Pro or has not been closed properly the last time it was used. Press ‘Continue’ to open the database anyway if you are sure it is not in use by another copy of DEVONthink Pro.’

clicking Continue nothing happens… and I have to force quit DT

Nothing should happen if the global inbox can’t be opened and no other database has been opened on startup either.

However, just delete or rename ~/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink Pro 2/Inbox.dtBase2 and everything should be fine (assuming the global inbox didn’t contain any data). In addition, please check the permissions/ownership of ~/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink Pro 2.
