DT RTF does not display inline PDF drawings, TextEdit does?

When I drag a PDF drawing into TextEdit, I see the drawing within TextEdit itself. I think of TextEdit as OSX’s most basic RTF editor.

When I do this into a DT RTF note, I just see a generic file icon. I have to double click on that icon, which opens it in the Finder’s default PDF app (Skim or Preview), to see the diagram.

Is this meant to be this way? If so, why?

This is working as expected over here (PDFs dragged to RTFDs in DTPO display inline).

Perhaps send a sample to DTech support so they can see if something else is causing the problem?

There’s a Preferences setting to display PDF within a rich text document. As I recall, that option is unchecked by default.
