A hidden setting to configure which characters should be replaced
And the why?
To improve file system / app compatability. E.g. I would like ^ to be converted to - on files when I want to use them in Markdown (which interferes with the Wiki-style linking of subheadings).
I am (finally) returning here to thank you VERY MUCH for implementing this new preference! It works perfectly. And you guys implemented it very quickly after the discussion above. I felt like I had triggered a little change for the better in the world lol…
