I have several databases. When I click back-up (icon on toolbar), is it possible to back up all databases in one go or must I back-up one database at a time?
Actually the name of this item is a bug, it’s identical to File > Optimize Database… but it’s not a backup. And to answer your question - no, only the active database is used.

What does the Save icon do? It doesn’t seem to do anything?
Need I save the database as I go or from time to time or are all entries automatically saved immediately regardless?
It’s identical to Data > Save and saves modified documents immediately. But they’re also saved after e.g. switching windows or apps.
