DT3: "DEVONthink 3" Would Like Access to Twitter Accounts

Hi,

whenever I launch DT3bx, i get presented with a dialog “DEVONthink 3” Would Like Access to Twitter Accounts / Don’t Allow | OK. Whatever I click on, that dialog shows on next launch again.

I am on OS X 10.11.6.

Is there a way to make my choice permanent.

Being curious, which feature in DT3 makes this dialog appear? Do I need to change a system setting to prevent this dialog from showing on every launch of DT3?

Thanks,
Christian

Unfortunately not, this is a known bug of El Capitan.

On El Capitan & Sierra DEVONthink 3 can use the system-wide Twitter account for feeds or to import the timeline. This isn’t possible on later macOS releases yet as Apple removed this functionality.

Is there a way to make DT3 stop asking? I don’t have a twitter account, so I don’t understand why I’m asked about it.

Are you running macOS 10.11 or 10.12?

Hi,
I’m having the same issue, so I’m replying here rather than starting a new thread.

I’m running 10.11.6 (2009 Mac Pro, so not able to upgrade the OS any further) and am getting the same message every time I open DT3. Is there a way to make DT3 stop asking?

Thanks!

Sorry, but no. This is an OS X issue, not a DEVONtech one.
Upgrading the OS would be the only way around it.
