DT3, tag auto-completion not working

I have been using devonthink for a year. On Devonthink to go, the tag auto-completion works fine but it’s not such a case on my DT3 desktop. It has never been working. I always type the tags manually, which easily creates errors and overtagging.

Please suggest. Is there a switch or something I can turn auto-completion back on?

Tag autocompletion is enabled by default. However, it can be disabled via a hidden preference.

Go into the Help > DEVONthink 3 Help > Documentation > Appendix > Hidden Preferences.

  • If you’re running macOS Big Sur or earlier, click Off for the DisableTagAutocompletion option.
  • If you’re running Monterey, Control-click the Off link, and choose Copy Link. Paste this link into Safari’s address bar and okay launching DEVONthink.
