Can someone post the script for things3 pls.
Also does the script work even without Thing3 being in the background?(meaning Things3 is not open)
There isn’t any script but a small add-on software for Things 3: https://culturedcode.com/things/mac/help/things-sandboxing-helper-things3/
This will help you create a special shortcut for Things when you want to import something from another app as a task. Through this you can easily get a lot of context and callback URLs if the app supports it.
I just tested and if you fully quit Things it doesn’t work. But if it’s working on the background and only the window is closed, it works without a problem.
