Playing around with the features, in the manual under tagging it says:
Add Chat suggestions to documents: Uses your chosen Chat provider to examine the document and add tags. Optionally, you can have it only apply tags that already exist. These are often more specific, e.g., snow leopard versus feline.

I was trying to test the new LLM features. If it’s not the same, why not make this flag: Optionally, you can have it only apply tags that already exist – global if I want that to be restriction on import. I will likely want it to be true at all times.
Assign existing tags and Add Chat suggestions to documents are not identical. See e.g. description of the Settings > Files > Tags > Assign existing tags option.
The option/command Add Chat suggestions to documents uses generative AI instead and might create new tags but this can be avoided by enabling Use only already existing tags of database.
