DT4 - Can't Move Stuff to Trash

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? I just moved to the beta and ran the archive mailbox routine with the wrong destination (inbox instead of my Work database) I’m just trying to move the stuff to the trash so I can start over. No matter what I try, it won;t get trashed. See the video below. I tried dragging the group to the trash, using the right click option and even selecting an individual email from the group and none did anything - no error - just a “boop” sound and nada. And I rebooted the machine just in case.

Your link is invalid.

easy puzzle

I had no choice but to replace the dots with dashes and drop the https:// prefix, for the system would not allow me to post the link. @ga1 solved the puzzle - great job! Now, if only I had known how to post the link correctly as he did. Please have mercy, as this is my first time posting.

Does DEVONthink have Full Disk Access in System Settings > Privacy & Security?

re: the linking, maybe you have to post a few times before the forum software allows links - not sure. I don’t think it would make a difference but I used MarkDown [title](URL)

I thought the same thing - I know it did in version 3. I went to System Settings to check for DT4 and it did not. I enabled it and restarted, but the same issue. I’m getting the following message on my Inbox (it started after the consistent crash I get when trying to archive my mailbox in DT4). I ran “repair” and “verify file integrity” on it and it came out ok. Should I try rebuilding it, or better yet - since I intend to delete everything inside of it, should I just wipe it out in Finder?

You should start a support ticket. Thanks.

Thanks. I put one in for the crashing, which I now think may be the root cause. I tried to choose “Use Backup,” but that did nothing. In the UI, the “Restore from backup” option is grayed out—likely because the Inbox is in an uneditable state. In the end, I just chose “Rebuild.” It returned the Inbox to an editable state, and then I was able to move everything to the Trash and empty the Trash.

I’ll pause archiving emails until I get a response from the support ticket, as I do not want this to happen in my production databases. I just hope I can resume archiving soon, as that is a huge input into DT.

And remember: beta.
