You’re trying to import some AppleScripts that use Aperture. The folder /Library/Application Support/Script Editor/Templates includes a script for Aperture.
But DEVONthink doesn’t import things on its own - do you remember what you did to make this happen? E.g. drop a folder or the startup volume onto DEVONthink’s Finder/Dock icon?
I got a few prompts asking for access. I thought it is the standard access request from DEVONthink to access files, disk, contacts, etc. I clicked allowed. Then, it started the cycle of importing.
I also have a smart rule that auto download YouTube when a bookmark file contains YouTube url. That also happens after I drop a few bookmarks into the global inbox. But I seriously don’t think it is due to that. Have been using the rule in dt3. Just haven’t triggered in dt4.
These are the few things I do this morning that resulted this.
I have switched to dt3 for the time being. Everything seems ok now in dt3. How can I switched back to dt4 without repeating the cycle?
What triggers this AppleScript? How can I stop it from running?
Most likely DEVONthink imported the folder /Library/Application Support/Script Editor/Templates or one of its enclosing folders. But DEVONthink doesn’t import this folder on its own and we haven’t received similar reports, therefore it’s unclear what exactly happened.

This does not add up. None of the gatekeeper prompts from macOS would initiate a “cycle of importing”.
