DT4 - some bits & pieces

Loving the update. I have a mixed bag of items I’d love to see at some point in the future

  • A button to let you copy a single response in a longer chat
  • Retain working hyperlinks when copying Chat responses (works when saving, but not copying)
  • Ability to press Up to get to the previous question in a chat window
  • Some way to include snippets in/around the chat window to insert while querying (I’m currently using Alfred as a Plan B).
  • Have some way to continue previous chats
  • In Summarize via Chat, be able to include a link to the document being summarised (asking the Chat via the Custom prompt inserts a named markdown link, but the destination is blank)
  • When saving a Summarize via Chat, be able to choose the location

Thanks

Noted, with no promises.
Development will assess as they have time.

Did you copy the complete chat or only the selection? And where did you insert the text?

That’s supported by the detachable stand-alone chat popover, see Tools > Chat.

So I played some more and the behaviour here feels like a bug. Its limited to markdown files, rtf is fine. What seems to happen is that, if there is another url within the copied text, none of the urls come out. See below.

Fair point, but a single continuous chat is going to be difficult to use to when you have several chats going on interchangeably. If this is the solution to persistent chat, then it would be nice to have bookmarks or something similar, to get back to old chats.

It’s definitely a bug (and probably one of the Markdown editor), the next beta should fix this.

Great, thanks
