The panel on the Inspector no long has these two tools, which have been useful for many years.
There is a new Annotations panel, which displays highlighted and underlined text. But that word was used in ver. 3 for the user’s own notes, which was an essential tool for me.
This is already discussed in the version history and the Inspectors section of the help. It’s an Info inspector.
This is a gratuitous opportunity to express my appreciation for the fact that the keyboard shortcuts for the Inspectors have mostly stayed the same as in v3 – so when I first fired up DT4 I thought huh, where have the Annotations and Table of Contents inspectors gone, but I hit control-3 and control-4 and there they were as ever, just in a new place. So many little touches like that.

On a side note: One of my labors in the documentation was this addition to the Appendix…

I hadn’t even noticed that! This is great. I’ve been using CheatSheet, but it doesn’t list everything.
One of the very good reasons not to upgrade all your seats at once is that I at least had completely forgotten which keyboard shortcuts I use all the time were built in, which I’d added over the years, and where in the menus and interface all those functions were that had become second nature to launch from the keyboard. Luckily I had my surviving DT3 seat to check against, and now I’m already cheerily obliviating what menu the Inspectors are even under.
