DTPO Ordner auf anderen Mac kopieren

Hallo Forum

Möchte diverse DT-Ordner von einem MBP auf einen anderen iMac kopieren.
Wähle auf MBP die Ordner aus und exportiere sie auf dessen Schreibtisch.

Beim Export der DT Ordnern auf den Schreibtisch des MPB wird immer eine Datei “DEVONtech_storage” mit abgspeichert.

Frage 1
Was ist das und kann oder muss man die exportierten Ordner mit oder ohne diese Datei in eine neue Datenbank auf dem iMac importieren ? Ich importiere ja dann die kompletten Ordner in die Datenbank auf dem iMac.

Frage 2
Ist meine Vorgehensweise sinnvoll oder gibt es da einen besseren Workflow ?

Läuft alles via WLAN.

When I import on iMac in new database the files and folders the file “DEVONtech_storage” is not imported.

So my next question.

Is it so ?

or

don’t I see it in new database on iMac ?

What is the reason for creating “DEVONtech_storage” by export to finder ?
Do I or DTPO need this file for future workflow ?

The file is used by DEVONthink for recording a little housekeeping information about the folder that was exported – such as the unique ID of the folder, what was the name of the folder, what view was open at the time of the export. It’s an XML file – it’s easy to open one and look at the content. It doesn’t get imported. It can be deleted and/or ignored and nothing will go wrong. :slight_smile:

Thanks for feedback.

I have open it with TextEdit and see the content.
As normal user it’s not relevant for me to know the info inside.
Maybe a developer must know the info.
I haven’t more question :wink:
