I am slowly getting better at DT but I’m still a bit of an idiot. I’ve watched the tutorials, read through the forums, tried to understand scripts, but I still can’t figure out how to do something that I’m sure is very simple: I want to export directly from within Pages and Preview to my database. That is, I don’t want to have to save a document to my desktop and then drag it to the sorter, but to bypass that step. There’s probably a script for that but I haven’t found it. Sorry for being dense, but I’d appreciate advice.
No worries. You can’t directly export to a given database but you can to your Global Inbox. A shortcut is usually installed in your Finder’s sidebar (see the bottom item in the screencapture) but can be added later in DEVONthink’s menu item > Install Add-Ons…
