When viewing a document, if you perform a search (e.g. command-F), the search dialog comes up. If there is text already there that you wish to quickly delete, the small “x” button at the end of the text field will dismiss the search dialog entirely and not affect the text present. You can click into the search field and edit the text, but the dialog dismissal behavior still occurs if you press the “x” on the text field even when active.
I’m not seeing the search disappearing here. A screencast would be nice.
Ahh, I reproduced it just now. It is specific to PDF documents.
I will file an issue on it.
