DTTG beta and possible sync corruption

I am interested in trying the DTTG beta and understand that there are risks associated with doing so. My question is, am I risking corrupting my Mac version databases in the syncing process? That is a risk I cannot afford to take.

Thanks in advance

  1. Actual database corruption is rare.
  2. If you’re not syncing the beta with the any sync location used by the Mac, then where would the danger be? Keep your datasets isolated and there’s no worry. See the next response.
  3. We have said this many times: You should not run a beta in production or with mission-critical data.
  4. Also said many times: This is not an early access program. It is a beta test with an expectation of people reporting issues and testing if things are fixed. Ideally, beta testers will find time to test things beyond their normal application usage as well.
