DTTG issues: https problems / crashes after some seconds

Hello,

I use DTTG on an iPad Pro 12" and on an iPhone 6, both with iOS 10.3.2. Same DTTG settings on both platforms, same synced data. Backend is a Synology NAS with WebDAV.

Two problems occur, maybe they are related to each other:

  1. With https DTTG has sync problems on iPad Pro. The cloud icon flickers quickly and never fills completely. It shows some sync errors (authorization failed) although it syncs all data after a time. When I change from https to http, problem seems to disappear. Is there a bug when using https? Is the reason my selfmade certificate on the server?
EDIT: “Authentication failure” again, also with http only. This error seems to relate only to some “master.plist” files. Why is that happening and how can I fix this?

  2. DTTG on my iPhone always crashes completely after some time (~30 seconds?). The app simply diappears and has to be started from scratch. It is totally unusable. I managed to change from https to http in a hurry, but the app still crashes. After restart, it tries https again although changed before. I have no idea what to try. What can I do?

Thanks in advance!

That’s just the first accessed file. Please check that the port and the scheme are correct (by default Synology NAS uses a different port for http and https usually)

OK, so I can ignore these error messages if it seems to sync fine?

What can I do about the crashes on my iPhone? Does the App create error logs?

In DEVONthink To Go 2, select Help > Report Bug (or Contact Us) to start a proper Support Ticket for the crash.

Then please…

  1. Sync your mobile device with iTunes on your Mac.
  2. In the Finder press Command-Shift-G and paste: ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice.
  3. Inside the folder for your device there should be a crash report with the date of the crash in the filename. Please send that when you respond to this ticket.
If there doesn’t appear to be a report, check the Retired folder of the folder for your device.
  4. Attach at least the most recent report when you respond to this Ticket.

Thanks.

Thanks for the support. I followed your instructions and hope that the problem can be located.
