DTTG4 marking an index file as favourite appears to have imported it

Easily fixed, but in DTTG4 when I moved a file (from a group that was indexed in DT and sync’ed to DTTG4) into favourites in DTTG4 it appears to have imported it or caused it to become imported in DT.

I will double check it has happened in DTTG4 and not in DT. I do not have DT available at the moment to re-test. I will confirm back.

I am seeing no such behavior here.

Did some testing. I suspect this is correct behaviour. Here are the steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a markdown note outside of DT and index into database (I had the folder indexed into DT that the note was created in so item automatically indexed into DT)
  2. Sync the database to DTTG4
  3. Edit the note in DTTG4
  4. Note now appears as imported in DT.

I suppose I was expecting the edit to go back to DT and then update the indexed note and stay indexed.

That’s exactly what should (and does) happen. I can’t reproduce any issue here. Do you happen to be indexing the same group in multiple locations/databases?

I have narrowed it down. It seems to happen to notes I created before I upgraded to DT4 and DTTG4. Also, I noticed DTTG is not recognising them as markdown.

Here is before and after edit screen shots (to show I am not going mad).

DT4 start:

Edit in DTTG:

After edit:

Now not indexed in DT4:

Post script: New notes created in DT4 and edited in DTTG work and show as markdown in DTTG4.
