DTTG4 Upgrade with Some Help Needed

As of last night I made the move to DTTG4 with paid subscription
At this moment in time I use no desktop pc, using only my iPhone and iPad for my daily computing and device needs (I apparently need to pay the subscription in order to sync DTTG4 between my iPhone and iPad​:person_shrugging:) but I do hope to have a desktop again in the future

Ok so, I see now that saving and viewing web links as bookmarks into DTTG is now not as clunky as the previous version but,
Where are the thumbnail images for the bookmarks?
I can get a thumbnail image in the share extension popup as I am saving to DTTG4 but no image shows once the bookmark is actually in DEVONthink
And how exactly is Create a Thumbnail supposed to be working? Is this another AI feature?

Also, seeing that there now appears to be an RSS feed saving and reading option I am interested in setting up DEVONthink To Go as my primary RSS reader client, but would this actually work for me as I have nearly 400 feeds I read from and a good number of them are YouTube based? What kind of feeds did the developers create this feed option for?

  • Yes, DEVONthink To Go 4 must be actively licensed in order to sync.

  • No, thumbnails aren’t “an AI feature”. Click the View Options button at the botom of the item list and make sure View > Thumbnails is enabled. Then select a bookmark. If it can, it will create a thumbnail for that bookmark.

  • We can’t say whethe RSS will work for your use case. That’s up to you to decide. And YouTube feeds are certainly less common versus the typical RSS feeds people use, e.g., for tech news, etc.

I did previously make sure the thumbnail view option was enabled, and I also attempted with various bookmarks from various sites to create thumbnails but I am getting no results.

I’ve tried multiple times since last night and I have also closed and reopened the app, as well a hard restart of my device. Thumbnail image generation (within DTTG app) isn’t working, in addition to not being able to manually add preview images

Did you view the web page in DEVONthink To Go, not just try Create Thumbnail?

I did. I wish it was working but it’s not

Will it ever be possible to add our own thumbnail images manually?
