Duplicate Count

I just duplicated a file to a folder in a different database (not something that I do often). The file got duplicated correctly and appears in both folders, but the Replicant/Duplicate count in the info panel for both instances says “0”.

Is this what I should expect?

Duplicates aren’t detected across databases.
Replicants can’t be made between databases.

I knew about replicants across databases which is why I made a duplicate. But I didn’t know that duplicates are not detected across databases.
