Just updgraded from 3.9.13 to 4.0.1…
Is it me or is there a known issue which would cause hundreds (1,343 of 23,341 docs) of apparent duplicates to show up after upgrading, please?
Maybe I should run one of the file maintenance routines?

No, there is no known issue or cause for this unless you had previously enabled Stricter recognition of duplicates enabled in the settings. It’s in the Files > General settings now.

Yes, unchecking that option made them all disappear. A good thing because they really weren’t duplicates.
Although it does seem as though the installation of 4 may have changed that setting and turned it on. Is that a possibility, please?

DEVONthink 4 Copernicus is a new application, distinct from DEVONthink 3. Different app, different preferences.

Yes; makes sense. I have just found another preference that was set differently: mouse click opens, say, a Numbers sheet externally - with Numbers itself. Out of the box it was opening ‘internally’.
No worries… makes me all the more keen to learn the new features …
