I am loving the ability to create notes using the new endnotes template, but ideally I would like to bring in more information from my endnote reference - at the least the Journal title, and any notes in endnote…

Sure you can edit the note template — or even make your own! See the online help for more information about smart templates and where to find the files.
I have added these fields to the template for the next release.
