Since installing 6, I have seen that the script to add message(s) to Devonthink is returning an error. “Entourage expected a reference”
Looking at the script itself, which is in the Entourage scripts folder, it refers to com.devon-technologies.thinkpro2
This folder does not appear in a spotlight search of my drive, although it does show up in back ups and clone.
Should I drag this back in from a back up? Or re-install DT?

That’s correct and is the identifier of DEVONthink Pro (Office) 2. But the script hasn’t been modified for some time and therefore should still work. You might try to reinstall it via Help > Install Add-ons…
Thanks. I tried install add-ons, tried reinstalling DT Pro 2. The file in question com.devonthink… is not present on my drive. Is this part of the new build? There are no scripts in Entourage scripts folder, that relate to DT although they do show up on the list of scripts pull down. There are no scripts in the Devonthink Scripts folder.
Am I behind the curve here? I use the script "add message(s) to devonthink all the time. ( or I used to ). Is this functionality replaced with a different way to add emails? Confused.
It’s the identifier of DEVONthink Pro 2, it’s not a filename. Did you use Help > Install Add-ons and which scripts are afterwards in the folder ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/Microsoft Entourage?
Okay. It’s not a filename. I did use Help> Install Add-ons. The scripts in the folder library/scripts/applications/Microsoft Entourage are
Add mailbox(es) to DEVONthink.scpt and
Add message(s) to DEVONthink.scpt
Still getting the same error message.
I have checked the integrity of my entourage, and DT databases. As, I said before, reinstalled DT Pro, installed add-ons.
I have a database open, select a message, invoke the script and get the error message “Entourage expected a reference”. Not sure what else I can do at this point?
Which version of Entourage do you use?
Sorry. It has taken me awhile to get back to this. I use Entourage 2008, V12.2.0, latest update 12.2.1 installed.
Just installed the latest DT beta and still having the problem.
