I’m exploring some of the features of Devonthink and downloaded the sample database “To-Do List”. In the “about the Database” document is a statement
You can even make a task “checkable.” Control-click it, and select “State > Show” from the contextual menu. The item’s icon will be replaced by a check box. Use it to indicate, e.g., that you have already accomplished the task. We have done this to a few example tasks here (if necessary, expand the group in the groups/documents list to see the check boxes.)
However, the contextual menu does not have “state>show” and clicking here does not show a checkbox either.
Am I doing or not doing something? How is it possible to make a task checkable?
Hmm, that’s a bit of a shame i think… curious what was the consensus about this?
Flags i use as kind of yellow stickies; labels as vague indicators that have different meanings across different databases. Check boxes to me meant “DO!” Have to say just notices this change today, and didn’t use it much but it was very useful at times.
And what happened to checked/unchecked stuff inside databases when upgraded to devonthink 2.0 final (beta 8 still had it as far as i can remember…?)
