So far I’m not getting any duplicates.
However, I’ve noticed that newly created folders that are indexed show the group icon instead of the gdrive folder icon (that the other groups display from the initial index). Is this something that I should be worried about?
A screencap of DEVONthink and the Finder could be helpful.
Here are the screenshots
I show hidden files and the annoying thing about google drive are the Icon? files.
This is about 4 subfolder levels deep from the initial indexed folder.
Also note that I changed the subfolder from app to App but DT shows both.

No, DEVONthink will not apply a custom icon when creating a new group in an indexed group.
Ok so that’s expected behavior? Nothing to be concerned about?
What about the two groups - app and App, i renamed the folder in finder and DT has both listed? Does upper/lower case matter? Can I delete the ghost group?
