Favourite folders?

Is it possible to make folders favourites (as a shortcut for accessing a folder which is deeply nested?) - if not, consider it a request.

Not yet but you could of course replicate a group to a group named “Favorites” for example.

I could, yes. But in the leftmost sidebar there’s much more room for such a thing. What do you think about the idea?

This idea is of course part of the endless list of possible improvements.

Of course, if you were to turn that vast open space in the information bar (nestled just below the toolbar at the top) into a browser-style bookmarks bar, where favourite files, folders, etc could be “pinned” via drag’n’drop, the problem would be solved…

I’d like to request a similar feature, or a possibility to create Aliases, i.e. similar to replicants, but with a changeable name.

E.g. I have a folder structure like this:

-School
------Night School
-------------2006-2007
-------------2007-2008
------University
-------------2006-2007
-------------2007-2008

And I’d like to create a “shortcut” / alias-like item which links to School > University > 2007-2008 in the root, which behaves as a replicant, but renamable, so I get a structure like:

-School
------Night School
-------------2006-2007
-------------2007-2008
------University
-------------2006-2007
-------------2007-2008
-Univ (this is the shortcut behaving like a replicant)
