I have a lot of groups in my databases for sorting purpose and drilling down the folder / group structure to move or replicate a file has become quite tedious.
I would love to be able to search for group names in the move / replicate menus!
Just a humble request of course, 
the app is fantastic already!

I do not know if there is a way to provide support or votes to your feature request, but +1 from my side.
I am just migrating from evernote after 10 years of usage. I have thousands of notes, all of them with at least one attachment. When importing to DT -i am still on the 150h trial- every note becomes a group, which made it impossible to manage without such feature.

There is a script which allow you to browse your groups and databases using the keyboard, unfortunately it is very simple and only shows you the collapsed groups. If you have nested groups at different levels, you need to type the hierarchy path and press the arrow key to go down one level.
In evernote you just start typing the name of the notebook, no matter the level and you only see those notebooks which match the name. That’s what i am looking for, if anyone knows if this can be done with apple script or in any other way, it would be very helpful
I concur: It is not easy to select groups when you have an amount of them exceeding the line numbers fitting on the screen by an order of magnitude.
BTW, the same applies to tags (and that is more my personal problem). So it would be great to have a solution to access/select groups & tags by search or pattern. - The search function of DTTG is a promising start!!!
