When I am entering an AI Chat prompt, I can refer to other documents via X-Devonthink link
Would it be possible to also use the file-picker which already exists during Markdown Transclusion?
I am not suggesting transclusion into that chat. Rather I am suggesting that if enter curly braces {{ in a Chat session it would open up a file picker to let me select what document (or perhaps even Group) I would like to reference.
As the capability of the AI integration increases, I find myself frequently creating prompts which reference documents from more than 1 group.
For example a common situation is for me to have a separate group with reference materials (such as academic studies or professional standards) often included in a prompt and also a separate template group giving examples of the format for the desired output.
I realize creating a file picker is likely a big project but hopefuly since that work is already done for the transclusion feature you could take advantage of that and apply much of that work by adding a similar feature to the Chat.
Chiming is as I would also like this. To date, item selection has done me just fine, but with the recent update the AI (regardless of model) is simply claiming that nothing is selected. It’d be nice if it were easier to brute force the chat into recognizing the desired file.

Are you using an encrypted database? If so, they are set to be excluded from Chat and MCP access, by default. You can change this in the File > Database Properties for each database.
Aha! Mystery solved. Thanks for that! I still would likely use this feature if it were present, but this little bit of knowledge does make it much less important.
