Hello to everybody,
I am using DTTG version 2.7.9 (16496) and have the problem to remove a folder with subfolders and 230 items in total from my favorites. Choosing the action “Remove from favorites” from the popup does nothing.
Has anyone the same issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Are these Favorites made in DEVONthink To Go or Files.app?

I am not using the files app very much, so I think it was DTTG.

Hi again, just installed DTTG 3.0.1 - still my favorites could not be deleted… Any suggestions?
I had the same problem. I can remove favorites that I created in DTTG 3. However, two favorites that had already been created in DTTG 2.x cannot be deleted. Besides DTTG 3, I also still have DTTG 2 on my iPad and deleted the two favorites there. Then they also disappeared in DTTG 3.
I have already deleted DTTG 2.x from my iPad 
But I was also having the problem within DTTG 2.x (see above), I thought that this issue is fixed with a new version…
Stumbled across this thread when I was trying to figure out how to remove items from favorites in DTTG 3.0.1. I just wanted to add I’m having the same problem with trying to remove items from favorites: when I use the context menu with some items in my favorites, I can see a ‘Remove from Favorites’ option, but for others, nothing. I guess I had them as favorites in DTTG 2.x and now I’m stuck with them until there’s an update?
Is there a star next to the name of the Favorites?
Thank you! I couldn’t figure out how my global inbox ended up in my favorites on one device. Turns out it was because I favorited it in the Files app.
That’s correct—the ones I can’t seem to modify and ‘unfavorite’ have a star next to their names.
Those are Favorites made in Files.app.

I checked the Files app and these folders aren’t favorited there.
This is how it looks:
Those file are not being favorited in the Files.app.
If tapping on “Aus Favoriten entfernen” popup smoothly closes but that is all that happens.
In DEVONthink To Go’s ? > Help > Appendix > Utility URL Commands, execute the fix-favorites command.
