Formats viewable in webserver

I have started looking at the web server feature after the update this week.

I cannot view PDFs and email messages via the browser (Safari) - I cannot find any categorical statement in the user manual or on the forum as to whether or not I should be able to view all file formats - some clarification would be appreciated.

I use Mail for email which show as “eml” but, when selected, display the message “this document type cannot be displayed”.

No - a web browser cannot view all fileTypes. This is a limitation of browser technology.

Working with Devonthink Server 3, I wonder whether the following statement is still valid today – even 9 years after the question was first asked? :thinking:

It’s still valid - neither can browsers display all file types on their own nor can DEVONthink convert unknown file types to HTML.
