Formatted note - document too large problem

Using 2.0.7 (16024) on iOS 10.2

I created a formatted note on DTP on a Mac. This consists of a few lines of text plus several screen shots. The size of the file is about 16.7 megabytes. It displays fine on the Mac.

The file synchronises fine but will not display on any iOS device, with the message:

Yes, as large formatted notes can require a lot of memory (depending on the images) and crash the application on iOS.

Are the file size limits for particular document types set out anywhere? I do not believe the manual has this information.

The ‘solution’ is to save the Formatted Note as a PDF, which displays without problem on an iOS device with DTTG.
