Ghost folders

Hello Folks-

I’m a new DevonThink user, and I’m loving it so far, though I know I’ve only scratched the surface.

I have a problem I’m hoping you will help me solve.

I created a database and transferred folders/files from my Mac into the global inbox and then into the new DB. After confirming that all the folders had populated, etc, I returned to discover many of the folders had returned to the inbox, though there weren’t any files included. I checked the new DB and all was well. So, I deleted the ghost folders and emptied the trash. However, they continue to return.

Any suggestions as to why that’s occurring and what I may do about it?

Thank you!
Hayes

  1. Quit DEVONthink.
  2. In the Finder, hold the Option key and choose Go > Library.
  3. Go into the Application Support/DEVONthink Pro 2/Inbox folder. If you see the folders in here you can safely delete them.
  4. Relaunch DEVONthink.
  5. If the folders are not there, then check /Application Support/DEVONthink Sorter/Global Inbox

Thanks, Jim! They were in: /Application Support/DEVONthink Sorter/Global Inbox

You’re welcome.
