The Go > To Group … menu command has suddenly stopped working for me, whether triggered by the keyboard shortcut or selecting it from the menu. The little navigation pane just doesn’t appear. I’ve tried restarting without success, and I can’t think of any other troubleshooting steps for something like this.

- What operating system and version of DEVONthink are you running?
(a) nothing, as far as I know. It was working until today
(b) Sequoia 15.6.1, DTP 4.1.1

ps the similar Move To … and Go To Document … panes work fine

The current version of macOS Sequoia is 15.7. Update the OS and see if the behavior persists (and you should stay current with the point releases).
Does it work again after restarting the app?
Neither restarting the app nor restarting the Mac helps. Nor does updating to the latest point release.
Do you use multiple monitors or spaces?
No, unless you count full-screened windows. But I have just updated to Tahoe (for better or worse) and the popup seems to have come back.
Unfortunately, that was a bit optimistic. It seems to work at times and not at others; I can’t understand why.

I am having the same problem. And in a sense, I am a little bit relieved that it’s not my machine alone that’s having these issues.
I’m running the latest macOS 15.7 and the latest DEVONthink pro version. The problem started to occure with the latest release of DEVONthink 3 some months ago and even affected the shortcuts and menus to “add Link to” and “open document”. Now the issue seems to be constricted to “go to”. Usually a restart of Devonthink solves the issue temporarily.
It usually starts, when I invoke “go to” while having a document window open.
I’m having a long email conversation with Christian about this and we haven’t been able to pinpoint the source of the issue, yet. The logs don’t show any problems and Christian assumes that it’s an issue with macOS.
A screenshot would be useful. Maybe this is what happens:
- A main window is in full screen mode
- You open a document window and use Go > To Group… and close the detached popover
- The main window reveals the chosen group and gets the keyboard focus but the document window is still visible in the foreground
- When you use Go > To Group… now, the popover is shown attached to the main window (as it has the focus) but it’s hidden behind the document window
To be clear, if I close all other windows so I only have one main navigation window open, not full-screen, this does not make the popup reappear, including when I select To Group … from the menu using point and click.
I have worked round this by getting GPT to replicate the functionality for me as a Raycast extension
