Group names with underscore

Hello,

why are underscores ("_") in group names not shown in Finder names (indexed items)?

Is there a way to solve this?

Underscores at the beginning are stripped to improve the compatibility to various filesystems/platforms (e.g. in older OS X releases & HFS+ such items were hidden)
