Help Updating ‘Add as To Do to Things.scpt’ for Things 3

I’m trying the script “Add as To Do to Things.scpt” in Scripts ▸ Reminders (Eric Böhnisch-Volkmann, v1.0.2, Aug 10, 2010). The script shows a dialog asking for a time interval, but after I enter a value nothing happens with Things 3.21—no to-do is created and I don’t see an error. I’m a big fan of DEVONthink and this community, but I don’t know AppleScript. DEVONthink’s co-founder/President originally wrote this script. I’m hoping someone might share an updated version or a small fix to make it work with Things 3.

You should have been prompted to allow DEVONthink to control Things and allowed it…

Check System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation.

I don’t recall seeing the prompt (although it may have occurred and I just don’t remember). However, in my settings, it seems DEVONthink can control Things.

What version of macOS and DEVONthink are you using?

macOS Sequoia 15.6 and DEVONthink 4.0.2

I am seeing no issue here. In DEVONthink, hold the Option key and select Help > Report Bug to start a support ticket.

My mistake. The script is working. I was searching in the Things upcoming date fields, instead of in the Things Inbox for the reminders. The script reminders are all in the Inbox, tagged as “DEVONthink”, with a flag for a due date.

I am embarrassed. Thanks for your prompt responses.

Phew  and no worries!
Bugs can happen so nothing to be embarrassed about.

I always forget things in the Things inbox!
