It would be nice if when renaming files the highlighted area was just the file name and not the extension. It seems like a small thing but if you are renaming alot of files going in and de-selecting the extension can get very tedious.

Tip: Set Preferences > Import to show titles without an extension.
Don’t worry, DT will remember the extension of the file in the Finder.
I like simple solutions! But if I import without the extension then rename the files (yes I’m the renamer!) does the extension appear in the Finder?
